Colour Scheme

My main colour theme i have used throughout my whole project is quite simply, black and white. I felt this worked nicely and showed the simplicity i wanted for the trailer when showing the title and the questions it displays with the white writing on the black backgrounds throughout the short video. As well as this, the poster i have made also only contains black and white colours again, to keep it simple but effective.

However, for the contents of my movie magazine i decided to add in red coloured font to make it more dramatic and eye catching for the audience. Red symbolises danger so i feel it works nicely with the genre of my trailer and brings more emphasis to titles and texts in my work.

Making Changes to Movie Magazine

Originally, i chose a black, white and grey background that i made whilst experimenting with many different Photoshop tools. I did this as i wanted the background to be unique and show i have put some thought into the contents of this magazine.
After a long think and listening to feedback i have decided to change the background to plain black, which i did not want to do at first as i thought it would be too similar to my poster, however i feel it will show synergy throughout all my media artefacts and keep them all connected when being viewed so the trailer will be easily recognised.

Fixing My Work

When reviewing my work, i noticed i had wrote the release dates as 2016 instead of 2017, this was a mistake made by me when starting the task at the end of 2016 and i am in the process of changing this error in all of my tasks.

I also included on my movie magazine front cover, films that were released in 2016. I will also change this and make it accurate to the release date of 2017 for my final posts.

I am glad i reviewed over all my work before it was submitted as i want it to be at the highest standard as possible.

RA Productions

I have finally added the logo onto my poster of RA Productions and also designed a short animation to feature at the start of my trailer video. This makes my work more realistic as normal movie trailers have these features at the start.

For the short animation, i have kept it simple as i feel it looks more professional than a busy animation that has a lot going on within the clip. By keeping it simple i have the text 'Bradley Hand ITC TT' featuring as the main initials 'RA' and they bounce onto the screen. I did this using key note which gives a variety of effects that you can use when making these small animations.

Text

Text has been an essential part to all three of my tasks, including the main task and the two auxiliary tasks. I have experimented a lot throughout all of them but the main text that i want to be recognised for my film is the text 'Impact'. This has been a main theme for my tasks and when using this i have played around with font sizes, boldness and more.

Most of the text i have used is straight forward however, on my movie magazine i have had to use many blending options to ensure all text stands out and is eye grabbing to the audience. This includes adding a black boarder around some of the text or even placing it on top of a shape so that it is clear and able to read.
As you can see :

Production Company

For my work i have made up a production company name. I prefer to use more simple features within my work as i feel it is more professional and sophisticated rather than an over the top animation that may look tacky. I have decided to name the production company after myself, RA Productions and i will place a short clip featuring this company at the start of my trailer. I hope this will bring the trailer to a more realistic standard keeping it simple and short.

I will reference RA productions on all my pieces of work which includes the actual trailer itself, the poster and also the magazine. I have already started doing this but as i am not properly finished with the task as a whole, i still need to complete parts.
Here are examples of where RA Productions is featured:

Keeping Continuity Throughout

Within all of my tasks i have decided to keep features the same to show continuity throughout.
One of these features is font, I used in the font 'impact' in my trailer a
lot throughout and decided to use the same font when advertising my film on the poster and magazine front cover i have made. I have done this so that the audience will possibly recognise the trailer from something as simple as the font 'Impact'.

Another feature i have repeated are the images i have used for the poster and the magazine. As i have shown below, they also appear in the trailer so again, they are recognised by the audience and keep a familiar style throughout.

This first image appears at the start of my trailer when introducing the name of the trailer.
The second image appears at the end of the trailer when advertising the release date of the film.
